Are you feeling stuck?
We've all been there...

You may have tried talk therapy or other healing modalities,
but you’re ready to go deeper.
Are you ready to confront what’s holding you back from stepping into your power in your life, work and relationships?
Are you ready to challenge the shit out of these patterns that no longer serve you??!

Somatic Counsellor/Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC)
I’m Davis Briscoe, a Somatic Counsellor with 17 years of experience helping individuals heal, grow and reconnect with their inner strength.
My path to becoming a counsellor was shaped by personal challenges. At 30, I survived a fall from a cliff that forced me to confront unresolved pain from my past. This life-altering experience inspired me to commit to somatic counselling, grief work and immersive retreats, leading to profound personal transformation.
In my practice, I create a safe, supportive space where you can gently uncover and process deep-seated patterns that have been holding you back.
Together, we’ll work to rediscover your resilience and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges with authenticity and confidence.
My philosophy is grounded in these core principles:
- Self-awareness is key to personal growth.
- Most challenges can be resolved or effectively managed.
- Even in hardship, there are opportunities for meaning and self-discovery.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey, book a consultation today. Let’s work together to help you reclaim your power and live a more fulfilling life.

For Men
Due to a lack of role models, men in our society have only begun, in the last 20 years, to reclaim their authenticity and hold it with integrity.
There is nothing more powerful than a man who can be:
- Vulnerable.
- Deeply empathetic toward others.
- Fierce and strong in his actions.
This work is about:
- Reconnecting with your power
- Learning to use it in a way that is generative and life-serving, not destructive.
Finding Balance:
Staying stuck as the “nice guy” isn’t sustainable. Being an asshole isn’t the goal either. The key is to understand and differentiate between healthy anger and rage. Thus learning to use healthy anger to set healthy boundaries without causing harm.
Building Healthy Relationships:
- Self-respect and respect for others go hand-in-hand.
- Sometimes, being true to yourself means disappointing others, but it’s necessary for authenticity.
- Strong communication skills start with being connected to your own feelings and needs.

For Women
Understanding the Roots of Your Challenges
How many of the issues you face today—in life, work, and relationships—might be connected to past imprints or trauma? The answer is, probably most of them.
In Western culture, women today often wear many hats: as wives, mothers, and leaders in the workplace, sometimes all at once. Many women are now earning as much as, or more than, their partners. You’re encouraged to be strong and independent at work, yet expected to be nurturing and soft at home. This creates a unique and complex relational dynamic that places significant pressure on women from all directions.
A Safe Space for Exploration
I offer a supportive space where you can bring any frustration, feeling of being stuck, or grief, no matter how big or small. Everything is welcome here.
Unwinding Trauma and Reclaiming Power
Together, we’ll work with old imprints and trauma, often passed down through generations, to help you unravel stuck emotions like rage, depression, or wounds with the masculine. This work can unlock your feminine power, helping you clearly distinguish between the voice of intuition and the influence of trauma.
Somatic Counselling
Somatic Counselling, also known as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, is a body-based approach to talk therapy. It integrates the latest findings from neuroscience to transform painful memories into strengths and resources for clients. This method is effective for addressing:
- Emotional Challenges: Depression, fear, and anxiety.
- Types of Distress:
- Developmental Issues: Such as maternal lack of attunement.
- Acute Experiences: Including PTSD, sexual abuse, violence, and verbal abuse.
The Process
In our work together, we’ll focus on:
- Mindfulness: Cultivating awareness of your body and emotions.
- Somatic Collaboration: Engaging in a series of experiments or processes, always asking for your permission before proceeding.
Bottom-Up Approach
Somatic Counselling operates from a “bottom-up” perspective. This means we aim to reduce stress and anxiety physiologically by:
- Changing the Autonomic Nervous System: Discharging the effects of unresolved experiences.
Titration Model
We utilize a titration model, which involves:
- Exposing you to small, tolerable amounts of distress to help your nervous system manage reminders of past experiences without becoming overwhelmed.
Goals of Somatic Psychotherapy
The ultimate goal is to bring resolution by:
- Discharging Energy: Releasing the energy stored in your body and nervous system as a result of previous challenges.
Benefits of Resolution
Unresolved issues held in the body can lead to a range of problems, including:
- PTSD
- Depression
- Phobias
- IBS and other digestive problems
- Chronic pain
- Autoimmune disorders
By resolving these underlying concerns, we can promote healing throughout various systems in your body, helping you move out of a constant state of activation (fight, flight, or freeze).

What our clients say about us.
I have been working with Davis for over a year now and I find his approach very aligned with my needs. While he seems quite intuitive, he is also very curious and careful not to make assumptions.
He ensures that he asks me for clarification—attributes that I value and have had to really focus on during our work together.
When I started working with Davis, I was struggling with a number of physical issues that I felt were connected with unresolved trauma. Our work together has explored a number of these areas, but always connecting our discussions back to the brain/body (somatic) connection.
In reflecting back on the past 15 months of work, I recognize that I have incorporated a number of positive changes in my life. This has led to a significant reduction in physical pain as well as more connectedness with those around me.
I find myself more present and able to navigate the stresses and challenges of day-to-day life with more flexibility and resilience, which has resulted in more positive and meaningful interactions.
I also appreciate being able to set the pace of our interactions and focus on items that are meaningful to me. However, there is also a respectful challenge by Davis to not avoid topics either.
My experience has been both positive and productive, which is why I choose to continue to work with Davis as I explore different ways of navigating my future.
